Beautycounter is a Santa Monica-based company whose mission it is to get safer products into the hands of everyone. Their growing collection offers skin care, hair care, bath & body products, kids’ and babies’ products, makeup, anti-aging treatments, and high-performance makeup. It can be overwhelming to keep track of all of the harmful ingredients out there but Beautycounter has simplified it with The Never List - a list of 1,800+ questionable chemicals prohibited from use in their formulas.
You know I geek out over all things nutrition (fitness, too), but healthy living is so much more than how we fuel and move our bodies. It includes what we put onto and use around them, too.
So as I’ve worked to build a healthier home these last few years, I’ve been searching for products that are free of harmful chemicals but that also work. Beautycounter has far exceeded any expectations I had (I’m not even a products “person” lol), and I love their mission and B-Corp certification so much that I felt passionate enough to represent the brand.
This means that I’m going to continue learning about and using their products, and sharing my favorites with those who are interested. You should also know that I’m not someone who has naturally “good” skin. I’ve struggled with acne and related scarring for as long as I can remember despite a “clean” diet free of both gluten and dairy, regular exercise, etc. Consistency with my Beautycounter regimen has been a game changer and, it’s simple.
